Colorado State University supporters were anxiously counting down the days until the start of the season.

The Rams are embarking on a new journey under the guidance of Steve Addazio, their newly appointed head coach.

Next 2020 appears.

Again.

The Mountain West Conference has announced the postponement of Saturday’s game between CSU and the University of New Mexico due to COVID-19 concerns.

The sport was scheduled to commence at 7 p.m. on Saturday at Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins.

As per a media release issued by the Mountain West,

The University of New Mexico cannot participate in the football game scheduled for Saturday, October 24th, at Colorado State University due to the high presence of the COVID-19 virus in Bernalillo County and in compliance with state regulations. Consequently, the Mountain West has decided to cancel the game and declare it a forfeit. There are no plans to reschedule the game.

How does this affect your CSU wager?

That question likely just crossed your mind if you engage in college football betting.

If you have made Saturday bets and are curious about the outcome of your wager, we have information for you.

The Colorado betting market has never encountered this issue before.

However, the New England Patriots and the Denver Broncos were still fairly close in proximity.

Despite being delayed for just one week, the match was ultimately played.

Nevertheless, this issue persists throughout the entire country, affecting not only professional leagues like MLB and the NFL, but also school sports.

Stakes will be reimbursed.

All wagers placed on the Colorado State versus New Mexico game, which has been officially called off and deemed a no-contest, will be refunded by the different Colorado sportsbook apps.

FanDuel Sportsbook informed PlayinColorado that all individuals who placed bets on the game would be eligible for a refund.

The policy of DraftKings remains unchanged.

If a game fails to start within 12 hours of its scheduled start time, it will be deemed void, and all bets will be canceled. DraftKings provides the option for refunded stakes on all canceled bets.

BetMGM also follows the same principle.

As per the established guidelines, any canceled activities are bound by the 48-hour rule applicable to postponed games. Consequently, all wagers placed become null and void, and your bets will be duly refunded.

The CSU Rams are holding off.

Colorado State fans were eagerly counting down the final days before experiencing the inaugural Addazio era.

It was the inaugural opportunity for viewers to wager on the Rams, their beloved team.

2020 then decides to reveal its true identity to people, announcing that it is indeed the year 2020.

Those who placed bets on the game will be reimbursed, which is the good news.
