Paton is now faced with the decision of choosing between Fields or Lance.
If the 49ers select Fields or Lance, the Broncos’ decision will be limited. If Paton had made a deal with the Atlanta Falcons at No. 1, he would have secured his preferred player in the 4th and 3rd rounds.

In terms of Fields’ odds, Denver’s chances have now shifted to +800 at DraftKings. Conversely, at Betfred, the Broncos’ odds to pick Fields are +400. Both sportsbooks still favor the 49ers.

The Draft situation is constantly evolving, and what you perceive now may not be the same in a couple of weeks. Currently, Lance is a 3/1 favorite, but this may change as he is not the definitive choice.
On Monday, the Broncos have planned to participate in Lance & ‘s second Pro Day, bringing an exciting twist to the event. During the initial Pro Day earlier in the winter, Paton, a member of the Broncos, was in attendance. This time, Pat Shurmur, the less-than-amiable coordinator for Denver, will also be present on Monday.
In the most recent mock draft, esteemed NFL writer John Clayton throws a new twist into the mix by suggesting that the Broncos will select Lance.
